Blue, the new makeup trend for Fall Winter 2017-2018

It can remind you of the depths of the sea, or it can make us think of the night sky: blue comes in so many shades, and it is one of the strongest, new makeup trends for Fall Winter 2017-2018. Blue is the color that lends an extra touch of light to all sorts of looks and makeup styles, and will suit both blondes and brunettes.

Blue was everywhere at recent shows. At Marco De Vincenzo‘s, models wore a line of blended blue eyeliner, and sometimes got daring with electric blue lipstick. Anna Sui‘s models walked the runway in amazing cobalt blue eyeshadow. Stella Jean also chose blue eyeshadow in a colder shade, while Prabal Gurung‘s show was all about electric blue, applied on the top part of the eyelid in a geometric shape.

Cat eye lovers can find inspiration in Elisabetta Franchi‘s thick, slanted cat eye that will make your gaze magnetic and sexy. If you want a more dramatic, hypnotic style, Versus‘s blue color block style is the perfect way to grab everyone’s attention. Vivienne Westwood even chooses blue for manicure, with metallic blue nails and white, pointy tips — for true drama queens.
