If you ever thought, even for a second, that you would like to have a lip piercing… Now is the time to actually do it! It is the beauty trend right now, after years of septum piercing domination – the ring at the base of your nose, for those who are wondering and don’t know the technical terms. The only option for lip piercings is in the center of your mouth, so forget Blink182’s Tom DeLonge’s piercing, for instance. We saw the first signs of the trend coming from our very favorite beauty trendsetter, she who can turn anything into a trend: Kim Kardashian! She decided to test the waters with a small ring on her lower lip, wearing it at a few public events, and got immediately photographed by paparazzi. She was followed by another member of the Kardashian-Jenner club, Kendall this time, who let the idea sink in for all of us on Balmain’s catwalk, during the Fall Winter 2017-2018 shows. On that occasion, Kendall and the other models sported custom jewellery designed by Dolly Cohen, former dental assistant, and current accessory designer for celebrities such as Rihanna and A$AP Rocky. Too scared to actually experiment with a real piercing? Don’t worry, there is an easy solution for all: just copy the lip-piercing look, or create your own look, with metallic makeup! Eyeliners are the easiest product to do this with, but a liquid metallic-colored lipstick will also do. In this case, use some tape as a guide to draw a defined line, and make sure you remove some of the excess glue with the back of your hand, to avoid getting hurt.
