Adele: between music, success and style evolution

Adele, born Adele Laurie Blue Adkins on May 5, 1988 in Tottenham of North London, is one of the most successful singer-songwriters around the world.
She began her music career in 2006, but achieved greater popularity in 2008 when, after releasing her first EP Hometown Glory, she debuted with her first album 19.

It was thanks to this album that Adele sold almost 7 million copies, reached number one in the UK and the Netherlands charts, won the Critics’ Award at the BRIT Awards and the Grammy for Best New Artist. A few years later, in 2011, Adele released her second album, 21. Now considered contemporary music history, this album is one of the best-selling albums of all time, with more than 30 million copies sold worldwide. 21 achieved many accolades, including as many as six Grammy awards, including Best Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.

A year later the British singer was chosen to perform Skyfall, the soundtrack to the 23rd installment of the enduring James Bond saga – this time starring Daniel Craig. The song is still much loved and listened to today, an unforgettable song for which Adele won her first Academy Award – obv on her first nomination – in the Best Original Song category.

A full 3 years after this recognition, the record-breaking singer released her third album, 25. How can we forget the success of tracks like Hello, When We Were Young and Love in the Dark.
On October 1, 2021, in an unforgettable guerrilla marketing operation, projections depicting the number 30 appeared in several cities around the planet, fueling rumors of Adele’s imminent return. Thus, before long we all found ourselves singing along to the notes of Easy on Me, the first excerpt from her fourth and final album-at least to date.
Adele is considered one of the most successful and famous artists of her generation, with her highly recognizable voice and innate writing talent. A life and career through varied changes of look, new imagery to explore and many rebirths. Since her arrival on the scene in 2008, Adele has transformed from underground indie artist to record-breaking superstar. From retro silhouettes, all the way to Schiaparelli, here is how Adele‘s style has changed.
