They’re beautiful, powerful, famous…that’s why they decided to give back all the amazing things they received in life to others. Today it’s Women’s day, so we decided to celebrate with our 10 fave celebrities involved in charity and social initiatives.

Beyoncé
Since Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé has always been involved in charity projects. With her band mate Kelly Rowland she founded in 2005 Survivor Foundation to help hurricane Katrina’s victims. In 2013 she co-founded with Salma Hayek-Pinault Gucci’s Chime for Change, to help little girls all around the world.

Christy Turlington-Burns
The Nineties supermodel is the founder of Every Mother Counts, a foundation to making pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother. Every Mother Counts informs, engages, and mobilizes new audiences to take action and raise funds that support maternal health programs around the world.

Natalie Portman
The Academy award winning actress was the first to become a spokeperson for Time’s up, the big movement created after the Weinstein’s scandal to speak against violence and sexual harrasment. Natalie Portman is also devoted to environmental projects as a Global Green ambassador.

Natalia Vodianova
The Beslan school siege in 2004 motivated Natalia Vodianova to create a ngo that could help children to have a safe childhood. Thorugh these years, Naked Heart Foundation built almost 200 playgrounds in Russia, thanks to the funds that the foundation receives during the annual Love Ball, where Vodianova is supported by actreses, top models and designers.

Naomi Campbell
Since 2005 Naomi Campbell is the spokeperson for Fashion for relief, a charitable organization that has raised funds for various environmental and humanitarian causes. Beautful clothes donated by fashion brands are shown during a star studded runway show, then they’re sold on auction. The 2017 edition gave all the proceeds to Save the Children, supporting their projects to help children in crisis, especially in Siria.

Kate Hudson
Kate Hudson and Michael Kors’ friendship was the hint to create Watch Hunger Stop, the designer’s campaign that supporto the United Nations World Food Programme delivering meals to children in hunger-strickenareas around the world. Kate Hudson is the proud ambassador of this project and every year she goes in the places where the campaign showed its support.

Gisele Bundchen
The brazilian super model has been involved in environmental projects since the very beginning of her career in fashion. Gisele was designated a Goodwill Ambassador for United Nations Environment Programme in 2009 and since then she has been helping the UN to call attention to environmental issues. In her role as aGoodwill Ambassador, she has been the face of a number of UN campaigns, and undertaken field missions in Brazil and Kenia. She’s also helping the Amazona forest through her flip flop collection with Ipanema.

Angelina Jolie
The actress is maybe the most famous woman in Hollywood to be involved in humanitarian causes. In 2012 she was appointed Special Envoy for UNCHR, the UN refugees agencies, fro which she visited many refugee camps in war areas. She’s sharing this committment also with her children, that follow her all around the world.

Cara Delevingne
The britain model and actress is the face of Lady Garden, a campaign founded by her sister Chloé to raise awareness on gynae cancer prevention. Cara Delevingne in these years starred in many advertising, such as the one about the capsule collection by Topshop.

Adwoa Aboah
The model, after being affected by depression and drugs addiction, created in 2015 Gurls talk, an Instagram account where she invited girls to share their stories about mental health, sexuality and body image. Since then, Adwoa Aboah became the spokeperson of a great feminist movement, in which she’s involved in many projects and initiatives.
