Happy birthday Adele: is the queen of British soul recording a new album?

Adele, born Adele Laurie Blue Adkins on May 5, 1988 in Tottenham, North London, is undoubtedly one of the world’s most successful singer-songwriters. She debuted in the music world in 2006, but became a true superstar starting in 2008, when she released her first EP “Hometown Glory” and her first album “19.” Thanks to the latter, Adele has sold nearly 7 million copies, reached No. 1 in the UK and Netherlands charts, won the Critics’ Choice Award at the BRIT Awards and the Grammy for Best New Artist. But Adele’s success did not stop there.

In 2011, the singer released her second album, “21,” which is now considered one of the biggest hits in contemporary music. The album sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and won six Grammy awards, including best album of the year and best pop vocal album. In addition, Adele wrote and performed the song “Skyfall,” the soundtrack to the 23rd installment of the James Bond saga, for which she won her first Academy Award in the best original song category.

In 2015, Adele released her third album, “25,” which was a smash hit thanks to tracks such as “Hello,” “When We Were Young” and “Love in the Dark.”

In 2021, Adele surprised fans with a mysterious guerrilla marketing operation in several cities around the world, in which projections of the number “30” appeared. Later, she released “Easy on Me,” the first single taken from her fourth album, which revealed the singer’s more personal and vulnerable side.

Today, however, Adele seems to be about to surprise us with a new coup. En effet, according to rumors, the singer has secretly recorded a whole new album that is about to be released in a few weeks. But that’s not all, the queen of British soul seems to have changed her tune, writing more “upbeat” songs that reflect her happiness with her new American boyfriend, sports agent Rich Paul. This new album was apparently recorded both before and after the arrival of the pandemic, a testament to Adele’s mind-blowing creativity, always able to renew herself without ever losing her unmistakable allure.
