Lily James’s career…
Born in 1989 in Esher, Surrey, Lily James showed a keen interest in acting from an early age. After graduating from high school in 2010, she began working as a professional actress, soon earning a prominent role in show business.
One of Lily James’ first big successes was the role of Lady Rose MacClare in the TV series “Downton Abbey.” The character introduced in the third season of the series immediately won the hearts of fans, solidifying the actress’ position in the British scene. But Lily James has not limited herself to the small screen: in 2015 she starred in the film “Cinderella” directed by Kenneth Branagh, playing the title role. The film was a big success at the box office and helped introduce the actress to the international level as well.
Since then, Lily James has continued to work in numerous successful films, including “Baby Driver” (2017), “Mamma Mia! Here we go again” (2018) and “Yesterday” (2019), in which she played the role of the female lead, Ellie Appleton. Thanks to her versatility, Lily James is able to play a wide range of characters, from the romantic to the comedic, proving that she is very talented both as a dramatic actress and as a light comedy performer. Thus, this very talented actress, in the course of her short career, has been able to demonstrate her versatility and ability to play very different roles. With her charisma and bravura, Lily James has become one of the most appreciated actresses on the film scene.
