Many people think that their job consists solely of looking beautiful, but this is not actually the case. In recent years, models have become more and more valuable and important, allowing us to get to know – through their particular attitude – much more than the aesthetic side. But beware, what distinguishes a model from a supermodel?

There is a time when models have become much more like celebrities, making it possible for us viewers to identify them as they blaze the catwalks around the world.

There are many up-and-coming models joining those who have literally made their mark on the fashion world for some time now. This phenomenon seems to take us back to the 90s, in fact already in that decade this concept of model-celebrity began to spread. En effet Linda, Cindy, Kate, Naomi, Claudia, Carla and Christy are names firmly imprinted in our minds.

So, while in the early 1980s models tended to be anonymous, today they are once again making waves and becoming true icons that we all know and recognise.
