Kylie and Kendall Jenner could launch a beauty collaboration very soon. Who spread out the rumor? Kylie Cosmetics’ boss herself, after being crowned by Forbes as the youngest self-made billionaire ever. The youngest Kardashian clan member, during an Instagram live, didn’t hesitate to answer a question of a fan, who asked her: “Can we also get a collab with Kendall?” The beauty mogul made the “shh” gesture with her finger, winked at the camera, and said: “You know Kendall was in a contract for a really long time, so I couldn’t do a collab with her. That’s the only reason why I didn’t collab with her. But, you know, we worked it out.”
Kylie Jenner was certainly referencing her older sister’s beauty partnership with Estée Lauder, who chose her as the face of its Millennial-targeted brand Estée Edit, discontinued after only a few months. According to industry insiders, the partnership is now ended, and Kendall is finally free to enter her sister’s beauty empire with her own makeup collection.
Kendall Jenner is actually the only KJ sister who still hasn’t partnered with Kylie Cosmetics. Since her beauty debut three years ago, Kylie Jenner celebrated her sisters Kim, Khloé and Kourtney with dedicated makeup collections and she even created a Momager collection with her mother Kris Jenner. But this didn’t stopped them to make their first steps in the fashion world in 2012 with their successful clothing line Kendall + Kylie, for which they partnered with retailers such as OVS and Topshop.
