Friends with benefits is that kind of movie we can all relate (at least once in a lifetime), it’s one of those movies that makes you exclaim “oh so that’s really happening?” or “ I’m not the only one!”…except that we don’t hang out with Justin Timberlake, but that’s a different kettle of fish. It is Timberlake, indeed, who plays Dylan, the protagonist of the movie, who’s friend with Jamie, the beautiful Mila Kunis. The plot of Friends with Benefits dispels the myth of occasional sex, especially those between friends, clearing the relationships that do not promise any sentimental ties. Jamie is one of the most important headhunters in New York, with the obsession for her career and success. The paths of the two cross when, on behalf of GQ, Jamie has the task of looking for its new art director…and guess who will be hired? Dylan, who from Los Angeles will be convinced by her to move to New York. Working away from home, he found in Jamie a trusted friend with whom spending the free time and talk freely about relationships, sex and life perspectives. It is right here that the cards on the table are overturned! Both terrified of relationships, during a random night, the two end up together promising, however, to never fall in love with each other. From here on, if you have not seen the movie yet, you can only imagine the collapse that this promise will suffer. The first cause of it will obviously be their jealousy towards each other’s dates, making them wonder “Can the friendship between men and women exist?” We don’t want to spoil how it ended up between the two, but we want to know: what do you think?
