Are you planning a trip to Europe or you are so lucky to live there? Just know that this fall all fashion enthusiasts will have even more things to see. This season, in fact, features many exhibition in the European capitals that cannot be missed: from London to Paris and Milan, here 5+1 fashion exhibitions not to be missed for Fall 2015.

London

Chanel – Mademoiselle Privé. Saatchi Gallery, London. October 13th – November 1st.
An intimate and innovative exhibition at the London Saatchi Gallery from October 13th until November 1st, a journey through the incredible creativity of the Maison. A unique experience that will show you an irreverent and unknown side of the brand, from its origin to present day and a closer look to the great creative character of Mademoiselle Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld. Are you ready for this travel into the history of fashion?

Tommy Hilfiger and Jeffrey Deitch. “Rock Style”. Sotheby’s Gallery SI2. Until October 30th.
The exhibition Rock Style was inaugurated in London on September 22nd and it illustrates the increasingly stronger relationship between fashion,music and photography. The exhibition is curated by designer Tommy Hilfiger, who celebrates this year the 30th anniversary of its namesake brand, and former director of the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art. David Bowie, Diana Ross, Elvis Presley and Madonna are just some of the artists whose style became legendary and still inspires designers to this day. The exhibition will be open to the public until October 30th, 2015 at the Sotheby’s SI2 Gallery.

Paris

Alber Elbaz – Lanvin Manifesto. Maison Européenne de la Photographie until October 31st.
Hosted by the Maison Européenne de la Photographie until October 31st, 2015 and conceived and managed by Albert Elbaz, the exhibition dives into the intimacy of fittings, the emotion of Lanvin shows and beauty of its creations. The first exhibition dedicated to the oldest still existing French fashion House is organised into 5 rooms transformed into settings to stage the work of the designer as an ongoing work between fashion and photographer. This is also an invitation to look, listen and talk only through our senses, in a time in which, as the designer says, “we no longer observe, we film, we no longer listen, we record, we no longer talk, we post”.

Volez, Voguez, Voyage. Louis Vuitton. Grand Palais. December 4th – February 21st, 2016.
An exhibition that cherishes, illustrates and travels through the great journey of the House though the memories and portrays of the founding members and those who today are maintaining and growing its success. Hosted by the Grand Palais from December 4th till February 21st, the themed journey divided into 9 chapters that opens with the absolute symbol of Louis Vuitton, the trunk.

Milan

Giro giro tondo, casca il mondo, casca la terra. Antonio Marras. Via Cola di Rienzo. Until November 15th.
In it’s amazing space located in via Cola di Rienzo, the designer presents a selection of images and photographs from the Soviet propaganda of the Sixities reinterpreted with a different and peculiar perspective. Each of the has been, in fact, dressed with fabrics and miniatures from the designer’s collections that put on the photos create an unexpected dialogue between history and fashion.

Bellissima. L’Italia dell’Alta Moda 1945-1968. Villa Reale di Monza. Until January 10th, 2016.
After Rome. the exhibit arrives at the Villa Reale di Monza in a slightly different version that mainly focuses of fabrics and craftsmanship and  narrates the history of Italian Haute Couture from the post-war years to the so-called Reconstruction. Dream gowns and fairytale jewels created by designers such as Biagiotti, Valentino, Fendi and many others worth rediscovering to retrieve a piece of our past.
