“Preppy” (abbreviation of the word preparatory, referred to some private US universities and often associated with the Ivy League) is a fashion that emerged in the very current 1970’s. A neat and classic style with an extra bon ton allure that, besides hinting to a special elegance, is also synonym of a specific and privileged lifestyle.
