Summer is coming…even better, it’s here, but we were taken by surprise! After days of rain and humidity we are finally ready to launch into our summer routine of sun, sea and tan. To prepare the skin the first fundamental step is to get rid of the dead cells the winter months kindly gifted us (thanks, but next time we’d prefer something a little nicer). How? With a scrub obviously! The idea is to work on the superficial epidermis, to bring back the softness and elasticity. The guide to this treatment is easy, but don’t underestimate it!
1. Scrub or peel? The second is more delicate, definitely suited to more sensitive skins. Both should not be performed more than once or twice a week.
2. The perfect moment for the scrub is in the evening before going to bed, it will give the body more time to absorb all the nutrition of the cream we’ll apply after exfoliation.
3. A simple, but practical piece of advice. If you want to use a scrub in the shower, avoid screw top jars, because if hot water gets into the product, it will make it less effective the next time you use it.
