London is undoubtedly the most unconventional among all the different Fashion Weeks (at least the most important ones). Featuring a calendar filled with up-and-coming talents yet well balanced with established names, it is an appointment not to be missed if you like to witness creations of pure imagination but also understand what the niche trends we’ll see spreading all over other cities will be. We selected 5 trends for Spring Summer 2016 you can wear right now: they’ll be the secret for a different and super cool look 😉
Psychedelic lace. Orange, acid green, fuchsia, yellow: pick the strangest colors and don’t be afraid to mix them together, the result will be explosive! Who should we get our inspiration from? From Christopher Kane’s boldness and his multicolor lace total looks and his printed leather with a lace effect. A multivitamin energy boost!
X. A new letter to be added to the fashionista’s alphabet and to be proudly worn on the chest. How? Formed by crossing suspenders, by the shoulder straps of two bags carried at the same time or by graphically printed on the top. The version that inspires us the most is Simone Rocha’s, who uses plastic to form chains to lay over iper-feminine tule minidresses.
Bow at waist. If the knot was the protagonist of the Resort 2016 collection, the bow represents its natural evolution. Super simple (all you need is a belt or even just a strip of fabric), it’s that detail that can make the difference on an ordinary look.
Keep an eye on sleeves. Next season there will be no halfway; they are either not there -strapless is one of the big trends of Spring Summer 2016 – or they are wide and voluminous, vaguely referencing those of 17th century’s sleeves.
Orange. Are you looking for something that will not make you go unnoticed? Try this color! Maybe with a statement piece as a coat or, if you don’t want to go for a total look, try a blouse or an accessory. The good news? It looks great on both blondes and brunettes 😉
