It’s official! After months of waiting, Lady Gaga announced the launch of her beauty brand: Haus Laboratories. For some time now there has been talk of how the pop star brand would have been, including indiscretions that described it as a colossus of perfumes, make-up and skincare, and others that instead presented it as a line of only make-up totally over the top.
After the Met Gala in May, however, Gaga’s cosmetic reality began to materialize when the diva trod the red carpet with a Plexiglas trolley where the official logo triumphs in gold letters.
Now, with an announcement on Instagram and the opening of the social page, Haus Laboratories has become a reality, and judging by the premises, the products will be much more than just cosmetics: they will be a tool by which to express yourself, conceived, as Gaga says, to accept to be ‘Born This Way’.
And who better than Gaga can explain what Haus Laboratories really means? Here is the post with which the announcement was made!
“When I was young, I never felt beautiful. And as I struggled to find a sense of both inner and outer beauty, I discovered the power of makeup. I remember watching my mother put her makeup on every morning, basking in the glow of her power to put on her bravest face as the hard working woman she was. I then began to experiment with makeup as a way to make my dreams of being as strong as my mother become true. It was then that I invented Lady Gaga. I found the superhero within me by looking in the mirror and seeing who I wanted to be. Sometimes beauty doesn’t come naturally from within. But I’m so grateful that makeup inspired a bravery in me I didn’t know I had. I’ve come to accept that I discovered my beauty by having the ability to invent myself and transform. They said I was just weird, but really, I was just Born This Way.”
Love,
Lady Gaga
