3 SPOOKY DESTINATIONS FOR YOUR HALLOWEEN WEEKEND

The Halloween weekend has always been the perfect occasion to treat yourself with a mid-season escape. Among the many places with which we filled our bucket lists, there’re many destinations to choose, close enough, of course, to spend an unforgettable long weekend. We are, of course, ready to give you some inspos that we’re sure you won’t renounce, but in a sort of unconventional way this time…are you curious? Halloween is the scariest celebration of the year, so why shouldn’t we give up to dreamy destinations to spend the weekend under the sign of fear? Here 3 spooky destinations to live an experience in perfect Halloween style!

IRELAND AND ITS CASTLES

Ireland is not only a place where to admire breath-taking views and knightly sceneries, but it is also the land of some of the most ancient castles in the world that hold lots of fascinating and spooky secrets. If you’re brave enough, some of them are B&B where you’ll be able to spend a night, making a trip back in the centuries. In particular, visit the cities of County Meath or Birr, where there’s the spookiest castle in the whole of Europe. Guests here frequently wake up at night hearing voices and doors banging shut on their own…should we believe that? To not make any mistakes we could give it a Halloween chance but to be safe: book a B&B in Dublin and you won’t regret it!

VENICE AND CA’ DARIO

Even in the small and super dreamy Venice, fear is a statement! Ghost and hunted houses stories, surrounds Venice since centuries and thanks to its gloomy atmosphere it is a perfect Halloween destination! Try to imagine yourself at night on a gondola boat with foggy weather or waking through the Calle streets and its super narrow passages…by only saying It, it scares! The secrets around Venice are many, but the most curious one is around Ca’ Dario: a beautiful building on Canal Grande, whose landlords seem to be bound to die in scary and violent circumstances. Would you ever visit it at night? But also visit the Rialto areas, Cannaregio or Castello. Some guided visits at night are organized properly in this place…should we leave?

VALENCIA AND THE HALLOWEEN ROAD

Even tough Valencia has a more romantic and for sure less gloomy landscape than Ireland and Venice, Halloween is considered here an unmissable celebration! Between visits at the Holy Grail Cathedral, the city of Arts and Sciences or the central market, don’t miss on the 31 of October the Halloween Road. It is a night run with more than 14 theme-based points where there are super scary tricks and flash mobs!
