Best Places to Enjoy a Cup of Tea in London

Second Fashion Week and a new city to discover. This time we’re in London, from where we’ll follow the shows. And between shows we’ll search for cool spots for a break! The first of the list? Somewhere you can sip on an excellent tradition tea, of course! Everyone knows British are definitely the best at this! We asked insiders, who revealed us the loveliest places to enjoy a cup of tea in the City.

The Berkeley – Wilton Place, (Knightsbridge) – Its 5 o’clock tea is already making fashionistas’ mouths watering: the Afternoon Tea Pret-à-Porteay is, in fact, inspired to colors and themes from the world of fashion and its menu changes every 6 months, just like the collections in the stores.

Palm Court at the Ritz London (150 Piccadilly) – A true institution in London, the Ritz is a member of the Tea Council of the prestigious Tea Guild. Servito in the spectacular Palm Court, it offers a wide variety of teas, associated with a delicious deserts menu. Not to be missed.

Thames Foyer – Savoy (Strand) – The Thames Foyer is located in the heart of the Hotel Savoy. The wonderful glass dome illuminates the ambience with an amazing natural light and the relaxing notes of a piano contributes to an even more pleasant atmosphere. Excellent tea varieties, accompanied by pastries and cakes.

Harrods – (second floor, 87-135 Brompton Rd) – The world most famous department store’s Tea Room offers a wide selection of the best types of tea. Open for breakfast, lunch and even dinner, the Tea Room also presents a selection of dishes that ranges from small snackes to British traditional dishes. Shopping + relax!

Flemings Mayfair – (7-12 Half Moon Street, Mayfair) – Here, the afternoon tea is served at the elegant   Gregorian lounge of the Flemings Mayfair Hotel. The selection includes classic teas as well as more exotic ones, directly imported from India! We suggest trying the house tea!

Espelette – The Connaught (Carlos Place, Mayfair). More informal, this location offers an evocative view on the beautiful fountain Silence in Carlos Place, to enjoy while you relax and enjoy the still favorable weather on the porch.

Palm Court at the Langham (1C Portland Place, Regent Street) – The charm Tea a Room at the Langham Hotel is known for being the place where the tradition of the afternoon tea was born over 140 years ago. The ritual is repeated today, maintaining the same timeless elegance; a characteristic that led them to win the prestigious “London’s Top Afternoon Tea”! How could you miss the chance of sipping on tradition?
