It’s Cruise time! Chanel and Prada 2019 collections

May is…Cruise collections month! There are so many brands right now that create wonderful events around these pre-collections, that unveil us what we’re going to wear in 2019.

Chanel has officially kicked off the Cruise month in Paris, with a star-studded runway show and an unbelievable scenery: La Pausa translatlantic, inspired by the well known villa La Pausa that Gabrielle Chanel built in Roquebrune‑Cap‑Martin, in the French Riviera. Coco’s mansion is the trait d’union in a marinière esprit collection, reinterpreted with a millennial touch.

From Paris, the fashion world flew to New York, attending Prada’s second ever cruise collection show. After Milan, the italian fashion brand decided to stage its runway show in New York, inside Prada’s Usa headquarter. In front of a Hollywood A-list front row like Selena Gomez and celebrity designers like Raf Simons and Marc Jacobs, Miuccia Prada channeld her famous past, bringing on the catwalk a collection with a Nineties nostalgia taste, where the ugly minimalism that made her a fashion star melts with contemporary attitude.
