INSPIRE ME: THE NEW TEXAN BOOTS WILD WEST

With an eye squeezed to Denver and Elvis Presley and the other at the catwalks around the world, the Texan boot is reconfirmed a must for this season. No risks of wearing the shoes of a old-fashioned Dale Evans indeed, this year the vertiginous heels and slippers leave room to their American cousins repurposed in new guises, sometimes vintage, but definitely super glam.

With its strong and decisive character, the Texan boot in its camperos or traditional variations, has ridden noisily the catwalks and the streetstyle since last spring … thankfully, without spurs.

We saw it firstly flirting with the most avant-garde fashion victims to convince t even the most wary, becoming the must-have piece of a wardrobe that has everything but a nostalgic flavor. To twist the personality of a maxi très chic skirt, give personality to skinny trousers or complete a mini dress without falling into the banality of the rounded heel, the Texan boot or  Camperos is the western alternative to an outfit that is not afraid to dare.

Cut to the ankle or long to the knee, in crocodile or python print, aged or in vitrified fabric, the trademark remains one: the pointed toe and the cone heel.

There are many brands that made of it a real statement starting from Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini, who breathes since a long time a boho chic wind, up to the more classic Fendi and Armani who rocks their collections with gritty footwear and a folk touch that takes us faraway. Bohèmienne, whimsical and sometimes androgynous, Isabel Marant could only be a flag for this trend by including among its proposals a line of texan inspired boots with metallic details and pastel colors because you know… You say Marant, you think parisian-cool. The free aesthetic of a sexy woman is the red thread of Zimmerman collections that, from Australia, adheres perfectly to the trend by proposing a version of the Texans in a full saloon mood with buckles and exotic leathers.

No middle ground here, sifting through the coolest looks of the metropolitan jungle, The Blonde Salad unanimously approves the multicolor ankle boots with animal print, the monocolor with a refined design and certainly the high-knee model, wide to the leg to wear to complete the bon ton attire of a minidress or with light blue straight jeans. Forget the hay-bale then, the Texan boots are undoubtedly the most discussed (and loved) accessory of the moment.
