New York Fashion Week: facts to remember

New York Fashion Week is officially over, and we are so ready to tell you everything about the spring-summer 2019 trends. But wait a minute: in these days, there has been a lot of buzzes, and clothes and accessories weren’t always the main topic. Discover with The Blonde Salad all the New York Fashion Week facts we’ve talked about lately!

Chiara Ferragni in Times Square to film her documentary

As you might know, our muse Chiara Ferragni is filming her documentary. Obviously, she decided to include some footage from New York, one of the city she loves the most in the world. Wearing an iconic Atsuko Kudo latex dress, she started a panic among her followers in Times Square. Ferragni madness!

Gigi Hadid closing Tom Ford fashion show

That’s how you close a fashion show, girl! The top model, one of the Texan designer’s fave, showed us how an Instagirl has nothing less than a Nineties supermodel, closing the runway with a sensational old school twirl!

Ralph Lauren’s 50th anniversary

At Bethesda Terrace in Central Park, the iconic American designer celebrated 50 years in the fashion industry with a monumental show dedicated to his heritage. We’re going to remember this moment for a very long time, we’re sure about it.

Nicki Minaj vs. Cardi B

Harper’s Bazaar Icons party, one of the most glamorous events of the New York Fashion Week, was the setting of a huge scuffle. Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, in fact, had a terrible cat-fight that was on everyone’s mouth. Cardi B even tried to throw to her enemy a shoe: that’s why she left the party barefoot!

Bella Hadid’s nude look

At Harper’s Bazaar party, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B’s fight wasn’t the only main topic of the night. Everybody was surprised and amazed by Bella Hadid‘s nude look, a tight see-through jumpsuit that covered her fabulous body like a second skin. The Weeknd, her on-again boyfriend, is a very lucky guy!

Giovanna Battaglia’s fashion mama outfits

Baby bumps were everywhere at New York Fashion Week. From Slick Woods slaying on the catwalk for Rihanna to the red Goddess Lily Aldridge at Brandon Maxwell‘s, pregnancy was really trending. Our fave? Mum to be Giovanna Battaglia, that rocked some amazing premaman outfits!

Kaia Gerber queen of catwalks

One year after her stellar debut, Kaia Gerber confirmed her good genes: once upon a time there was her mum Cindy Crawford, now she’s the queen of catwalks. Every single look she wore, from Tom Ford to Calvin KleinMarc Jacobs and Longchamp, is wow. We’re thrilled to see her slaying on the runway in Milan and Paris!

The rain

More than runways, more than celebrities, more than gossip. Rain has been the real protagonist of the New York Fashion Week and umbrellas the most useful accessory for many fashionistas, who had to change all their outfit plans and face the bad weather with style. Not bad, after all: we have plenty of street style pics we can use as a source of inspiration for our fall looks!
