The successful collaboration between Prada and Adidas has been confirmed a second time. The first, pillar of Italianprêt-à-porter fashion, the other icon of world streetwear, (yes, they need no introduction) they have decided to strengthen their already established union, with a second capsule of sneakers available starting from next 8 September.
To be the protagonist of the collaboration, this time, the Adidas iconic model par excellence, with an unmistakable name: Superstar. Conceived in the 70s as the first low basketball shoe in history, it had already from its beginnings captured the attention of the biggest names in the NBA to the point that, during the first decade of its birth, almost 75% of basketball players wore it. Today the Superstar has given its charm, as now happens with many other iconic models, to fashion; undressing of its sportier attitude to become an indispensable must-have of everyday wear. Prada, which has always made a vademecum for its collections with the sporty style and technical materials (let’s think of what it is famous for all over the world, namely the nylon bag), could only fall in love (again) with the Superstar, giving it a new and all-Italian look.
The Prada X Adidas Superstar will, in fact, be presented in three colour variations: white, black and silver, will present the timeless unisex silhouette and the iconic rubber platform. With one difference though! On the side of the sneakers will appear the words “Made In Italy” to testify the all-Italian production of this particular Superstar, and the logos will join in the labels to celebrate a solid, simple but well done union. The sneakers will be available from 8 September in selected Prada and Adidas stores and online at prada.com and adidas.com
