The 5 best SS19 collab collections that you can’t miss

Summer 2019 promises to be the season of collaborations between big brands and important names in music and street style, as well as cross collabs between fashion brands that will produce limited edition collections. From the line that mixes the sophisticated tweed of Chanel to the soft cut of the streetstyle by Pharrell Williams, to the Linea Rossa presented by Prada and Highsnobiety, we no longer know where to look to avoid seeing fantastic objects of desire ready to steal our hearts! Here are the SS19 collabs that cannot be missed!

CHANEL X PHARRELL: WHEN HAUTE COUTURE MEETS THE STREETSTYLE

The fact that the style of Pharrell Williams has conquered even the ultra-glamorous tastes of Karl Lagerfeld is a symptom of his influence in the fashion world. From the ’90s up to now, his oversized hats, his shirts with Korean collars and tie-dye t-shirts have laid down the law in fashion as well as in music, and in 2019 the American producer throws himself into the reality of high fashion by collaborating with Chanel.

Super bright and vitaminic colours, like yellow, red and orange, passing through fuchsia, Prussian blue and a beautiful luminous green. Cargo trousers are matched with three-quarter-length t-shirts worn over long-sleeved shirts, and the cherry on top is the soft sponge fisherman hats in a peach-coloured shade. And we still have to talk about accessories: pearls and chains in pure attitude Mademoiselle Coco recreate the Parisian and super chic allure typical of the maison. The must-have piece? The round acetate sunglasses with a CHANEL PHARRELL mega writing.

PRADA AND HIGHSNOBETY: THE NEW ERA OF SPORTSWEAR

Highsnobiety, the media agency born from the blog of David Fischer founded in 2005, launches its first clothing collection and it does so with a bang by collaborating with a leading luxury brand: Prada. The reference point for lovers of street culture and the symbol of sophisticated Milanese allure come together to create a SS19 collab dedicated to sport, called Linea Rossa as the original line launched by Prada in 2018. It’s hard to know what to expect and the hype grows relentlessly but, until May 22, the date of the official exclusive launch on Highsnobiety, we can only travel with imagination.

DIOR AND KAWS CREATE AN SS19 COLLAB THAT IS IRONIC AND WITH ‘TOON GRAPHICS

When it comes to oversize sweatshirts and t-shirts, the male wardrobe can give great satisfaction, and if on the shelves there are garments designed by Kim Jones for Dior Homme in collaboration with KAWS, it’s even better.

The designer and the American artist have created a monochrome SS19 collab with cartoon graphics: on a black or white base stands the bright yellow of a bee with a design that recalls the drawings of childhood, with XX instead of eyes, or the candy pink of BFF, one of the new characters created by KAWS. To top it off, super cute accessories like the sweet bee-shaped keychain. In short, a true must-have line!

After brands like Louis Vuitton and The North Face, Supreme presents a new SS19 collab with the jewellery brand Swarovski. The collection, launched last April 25th, celebrates the twenty-fifth anniversary of the New York brand, and does so with all the necessary sparkles required for the occasion.

The unmissable Supreme hoodies and t-shirts are in fact filled with a cascade of Swarovski crystals that will cover the iconic white and red logo, adding it a bit of extra coolness.

Starting from 2014, every March 26th the Air Max Day is celebrated: an entire day dedicated to the iconic shoe created by Nike in 1987. Through combining a classic model with the modern vision of the designer Cynthia Lu, the Cactus Plant Flea Market X Air VaporMax 2019 sneaker is born. It has a vamp with visible stitching, Swoosh cord and smiley on the heel of an intense yellow that results on the dark grey of the shoe. The maxi sole could not be missed as well as the Nike logo in a beautiful shade of aquamarine.
