Anish Kapoor, the sculptor in between art and fashion

Anish Kapoor is undoubtedly one of the most influential artist of the latest 40 years. If you’ve been in Chicago and you couldn’t resist the temptation to take a selfie in front of a stainless steel enormous bean…well, you should know that it’s the Cloud Gate, on of his most famous artworks ever. Mirror finishing is a stable feauture of many of his works, reflecting and distorting what is around them depending on who and how is watching.

His works as a sculptor, architect and contemporary artist have been at the centre of many at exhibitions. If you’re planning a trip in the Loire valley, in France, until april 8th, you can have the chance to see “Anish Kapoor: My red homeland” exhibition at Musée d’Art Moderne et Contemporain in Saint-Étienne Métropole: the title draws from the show’s centre-piece, a huge circular installation that supports over 20 tons of wax and vaseline mixed with pure red pigment.

Anish Kapoor’s art met also the luxury world. In 2010, for the iconic B.Zero 1 ring 10th anniversary, Bulgari asked him to redesign its famous bestseller.
