Immersed in the greenery of Piazza XXV Aprile, Eataly Smeraldo is now a temple of Italian food culture in Milan. For this strange and unprecedented Summer 2020, Eataly has chosen to celebrate, together with its most trusted lovers, the beautiful season with Eataly All’Aperto. What is it about? For those who do not know it, Eataly All’Aperto is a space to enjoy your moments of taste and conviviality to the fullest, immersed in one of the most evocative frames of the Milanese metropolis: the area in front of the historic Teatro Smeraldo has been significantly enlarged and furnished with umbrellas to make the most of the summer climate and enriched with luxuriant plants that fill the evocative garden made of vineyards and aromatic plants with perfumes and colours. The atmosphere, especially at night, is unique thanks to a show of lights that, at least with your mind, will make you feel immersed in a perfect oasis of peace with an almost bucolic flavour.
But what does Eataly All’Aperto offers? Eataly has once again selected the best raw materials, cooking them in a workmanlike manner (needless to say), offering a wide selection of courses suitable for any time of the day: croissant, fresh fruit and a wide coffee selection for breakfast, fresh, tasty and super healthy dishes for lunch, cocktails, wines and craft beers for an aperitif in perfect Milanese style, up to dinner with the most iconic dishes signed by Eataly. What about ice cream lovers? Eataly has a special treat for them too: an aquamarine ice-cream cart is ready to welcome them with the 17 signature flavours of Gusto17, one of the most renewed artisanal gelato in town. But the news is not over! Another icon of the summer, Pizza al Padellino has finally arrived at Eataly All’Aperto and if you don’t know what it is, we are sure you will want to find out very soon: Pizza al Padellino is a high and super crisp version of the pizza, which follows a double leavening and is cooked in a special 24 cm pan. The topping? Eight super tasty variations await for you, to be enjoyed outdoors in the company of friends and sipping one of the iconic gin and tonics mixed by the expert Eataly barmen. Wednesday 15 July, from 7.30 pm: Oyster and Franciacorta night with Ca ‘del Bosco.
The beach is not such a mirage: take a toast with the wines of Ca’ del Bosco and taste fine varieties of oysters and greedy raw fish from the Fishmonger.
Friday 17th July: Rosé night
Eataly All’aperto is rosé night! Join a bright summer celebration: Eataly All’aperto will liven up Piazza XXV Aprile with an evening of fun dedicated to the world of rose wines. The protagonist of the evening will be a curated list of rosé in all its shades, with a proposal for delicious finger food and a matching colour scheme. The dress code is, of course, pink!
Wednesday 22, 29 July and 5 August: Aria di Jazz
Jazz music is always welcome at Eataly Smeraldo: for the first time outdoor under the bright star, Eataly introduces three concerts with the greatest Italian artists of contemporary jazz. Take your place at Eataly All’aperto and enjoy a night full of great music.
Tuesday 28 July: dinner with Marco Visciola.
Taste all the goodness of the sea in a gourmet dinner with the signature of Marco Visciola, chef of the Il Marin restaurant in Eataly Genova.
Tuesday 4 August: Aperitivo Contadino
The city welcomes the countryside: enjoy the earthy flavours with raw vegetables, fresh cheese made on spot by Miracolo a Milano and many other tasty choices for your aperitif into the green.
