The city is hosting two major photography exhibitions entirely dedicated to the talents of two great masters of photography, obv Guy Bourdin and Helmut Newton. The exhibition “Guy Bourdin: Storyteller,” at Armani/Silos from Feb. 14 through next Aug. 31, explores Bourdin’s genius as a storyteller through his photographic lens, presenting one hundred photographs selected by Giorgio Armani and The Guy Bourdin Estate. The exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of Bourdin’s career, showing how he was a master in the art of storytelling through his photographs.
The second exhibition, “Helmut Newton. Legacy,” on view at the Royal Palace from March 24 to June 25, 2023, traces the acclaimed German photographer’s career through 250 photographs, magazines, documents and videos. The exhibition, curated by Matthias Harder, director of the Helmut Newton Foundation, and Denis Curti, features iconic and previously unseen images, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in Newton’s life and art. The exhibition is divided into true chronological chapters, offering a comprehensive overview of his career, from his beginnings to his final years of production.
