The wait seems officially over, the fifth and final chapter of Money Heist is ready to arrive on Netflix! Just in these days, some of the most beloved characters of the cast such as Ùrsula Corberò, Jamie Lorente, Álvaro Morte and many others have been notified in the throes of filming that began last August 3.
“If we had not found a valid reason, and we had not been able to ‘correct’ the story in order to be able to tell something more, we certainly would not have returned. The fourth season will be quite tough for the viewers, but we can confidently say that there will also be a fifth one”
These were the words with which last November, Jesus Colmenar director and producer of the series, had anticipated what is finally happening these days. In April 2020, perhaps thanks to the global lockdown, the fourth chapter of Money Heist was followed by millions of spectators, long-time fans or newborn ones of the events of The Professor and his gang of robbers; today the wait for the fifth chapter is more anxious than ever, but what will it talk about?
To find out, we will presumably have to wait until the end of 2020 or even the beginning of 2021. It is rumoured that the beloved gang will go beyond the Spanish borders to head towards the United States and South America. The end of the fourth chapter had left everyone with a bitter taste: the balance of the unforgettable Professor, in fact, began to falter after he is led to believe that Lisbon, his beloved, has been killed. The command then passes into the hands of Tokyo (Ùrsula Corberò) and Rio (Miguel Herrán) who try by every means to make the gang escape from the now besieged bank of Spain.
The intricate plot and above all the psychological mechanisms of the most controversial character in the series, The Professor, have kept all fans of the series glued to the screen since his debut, will it be the same now that his character is increasingly weak and despondent? There is talk of two new entries within the cast, presumably, the actors, announced on 31 July 2020, will be Miguel Angel Silvestre and Patrick Criado. But what characters will they play? Will they join the gang too or will they turn out to be antagonists? We can do nothing but wait!
