It’s been a long time since the era of the pink Balenciaga bag matched with the Abercrombie sweater and the Converse shoes, the same as how long has passed from the Minnetonka fringed boots and the McQueen skulls scarf. One thing, however, has remained the same over the years, Chiara Ferragni and her style, in spite of those who did not believe in her, have radically revolutionized the way of understanding and communicating fashion.

It was 2009 when the iconic outfit par excellence had an essential constant: the ballerina shoes. After her move to Los Angeles in 2013, Chiara’s life and style have undergone a revolution. These were the years of the continuous international travels, the first Vogue cover and Harvard. Chiara’s hair was back in its natural color and her looks were constantly contaminated by the American style. Here the ballerinas are replaced with Superga and Dr. Martens, and the first purchases at the vintage market in Los Angeles begin to become part of some of her more copied looks. From 2016 onwards, after the engagement with Fedez and her new life as a mother, Chiara’s style has immediately undergone a twist made of a unique mix of street style and haute couture that three years ago, as today, consecrates her the undisputed queen of trends. The peak achieved in her professional life has given her a key role as ambassador of numerous haute couture maisons, among which Dior, together with Maria Grazia Chiuri who has also signed her marvelous wedding dress, stands out undoubtedly. Today Chiara’s style takes inspiration by some of the brands with greater hype on the market, alternating a perfect high fashion style to outfits made of some of the most desired streetwear pieces.
