THE SISTERHOOD WEEK: ALL THE WOMEN THAT INSPIRE US

Paris, 26th of February 2019, on the Dior’s runway among tartan and midi skirts, to parade there’s a big message “SISTERHOOD IS GLOBAL”. Today, 8th March 2019, the concept of sisterhood should be felt more than ever and together with it the inspiration to those women, who in a way or another, support other women. Each of them is an inspiration for  The Blonde Salad and today, during women’s day, we want to share their stories with you.

 

CHIARA FERRAGNI AND THE FIGHT AGAINST STEREOTYPES

I love haters” is her motto, fighting all those that should be unjustified and obsolete clichés is her mission. Chiara found out for herself how important is to believe in yourself and through her carreer she made of it a real mantra. Being one of the most famous influencer in the world means also getting in touch every day with all those who still think that there’s a connection between the I.Q.  and the hair color, or even worse that a woman could never build an empire being entrepreneur, mom and wife at the same time. After years of touching Instagram posts and stories, with the  Beauty Bites masterclass she wanted to speak out loud this message, teaching each of us that makeup has to be just a tool to believe in a beauty that already exists: the one inside us.

 

MARIA GRAZIA CHIURI AND THE WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Is the first woman to be creative director of the maison Dior after 70 years. Raised in the 70’s, she chose to make of fashion at its purest, the way to fight for women’s lib overcoming clichés and men privileges.

 

CARA DELEVIGNE AND HER REBELLION AGAINST OLD FASHION

British, class 1992, model, actress and stunning beauty. Has made people talk, years ago, for her rebellion against the glossy world of fashion in favour of women for what they really are: flesh and blood creatures with flaws and virtues. Leaving the world of fashion for a while, she’s been courageous teaching all of us that even a model has the right of not being perfect.

 

LADY GAGA AND THE ODE TO COURAGE

Stefani Germanotta, aka Lady Gaga, is another of those women we need to take inpiration from. After years fighting against stereotypes, she had the courage in 2017 with the documentary about her life, to tell the world the suffering she felt because of the violence that a man has made her  victim of, becoming an icon for all the women who among weaknesses and fear, found the strenght to go on.

BEBE VIO AND THE DETERMINATION THAT OVERCOMES ANY BOUNDARIES

22 years of courage and great talent. Paralympic champion and a huge fortitude are keywords to her, who has been able to overcome the tragedy she went through making of smiles her trump card.

 

GIGI, MILLIE AND DUA LIPA: THE UNICEF AMBASSADORS

Super young and beautiful: Gigi Hadid, Millie Bobbie Brown, Dua Lipa together with many others chose to be ambassadors for an association that fought and fights a lot for women’s rights. Making the public love them not only for their talent and beauty, but above all for their humanity.
